1300 Yeshiva Day School and Early Childhood Educators Gather for Annual Conference

Teachers and principals from Yeshivot, Day Schools and Yeshiva Early Childhood Centers across New York gathered on Long Island for The Jewish Education Project's Yeshiva Day School and Early Childhood Professional Day of Learning.  Following a presentation from key note speaker Dr. Norman Blumenthal, educators chose from dozens of breakout sessions on topics specific to their teaching area. Sessions ranged from progressive techniques of teaching Mishna, tools to better use your SMART Board, teaching Hebrew in early childhood using Bentzi the Israeli turtle, handling children coming back to school after tragic deaths in the family, to methodologies to engage Middle School students in the science lab.  The diverse group of educators brought commitment and energy to the conference, and left with tools that will help them achieve higher levels of academic excellence at their home schools and for their students.
